The Power of Handkerchiefs and Aprons

I find this quite interesting:

“And God was doing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were carried away to the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them.” - Acts 19:11-12

The power of God that worked through Paul is amazing.  There’s no doubting that.  But how does that power move into handkerchiefs and aprons?  If a handkerchief brushes Paul’s skin, and is carried away to heal and cast out demons, isn’t there risk of idolizing the handkerchief and making it into something that it’s not?  Maybe there is the risk, but God can certainly bring understanding into the minds of those who were witnesses of this power.  I just wonder why inanimate objects were given the power of God.

It is certainly something interesting to ponder, but not to get bent out of shape over.  God can do anything He wills. If he chooses to empower a handkerchief to heal the sick, then wow!  Praise God for healing and casting out demons through a nose-wiping, booger-storing piece of fabric!
